Marilyn Martin is a National Board Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice in Royal Oak, Michigan. She has experience treating patients individually, as a family, and in group settings. She specializes in depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem and anger issues, PTSD, sexual trauma, and life coaching. She believes in an integrated approach when treating her patients. She has specialized training in Grief and Loss, Human-Trafficking Identification and she is an SBIRT Service Provider. She holds memberships to several professional associations. In addition to counseling, she volunteers her time with Ascension Health Hospice holds Honorary Clinical Instructor status with Walden University, and through a privately funded organization, she provides social service assistance to the homeless population in the metro-Detroit area. During her downtime she enjoys practicing self-care, golfing, designing, and most of all spending time with her husband of 20 years, her three adult daughters, two Schnauzers (Crockett & Tubbs), and the rest of her immediate and extended family.
